Alden recently had to make the very difficult decision to stop offering any of their handsewn models as part of their in-stock, catelogue collection. This is due to the extremely high demand for these shoes and their backlog of backorders. Future availability of Alden handsewn shoes will be limited to a few select authorized retailers. Sherman Brothers will be one of them.
If you place an order today for a size that is not available, we will contact you within 24 hours and will not collect payment. Rather we will see if you would like to be put on a waitlist and to be notified when the shoes are available again in your size. The delay might be as short as a few weeks as we already have over 100 pairs in the works. The wait can potentially be longer, up to 6-9 months if your size is not already on order. We will communicate that information to you. The only way to secure a pair is to have us reserve a pair for you.

Great quality fast shipping
It was a birthday gift and he loved it. Fits well and great quality. Worth every cent and stylish. Item arrived so fast.

Straps are not symmetrical
Great leather, great fit (1/2 size down from brannock), great pattern.
However, not great craftsmanship.
The left shoe is good but the right shoe's strap is much longer on the inside like they didn't know if they were making a penny loafer or a full strap. Unfortunately didn't catch the defect before I walked outside. -
Superbly comfortable and really beautiful
I think this is my new favorite pair of spring/summer shoes. The color is beautiful (hard to convey how nice the suede is in photos) and the flex welt is definitely the most comfortable shoe out of the box that I've ever had. I am considering a pair in the dark brown now, too.
