Alden recently had to make the very difficult decision to stop offering any of their handsewn models as part of their in-stock, catelogue collection. This is due to the extremely high demand for these shoes and their backlog of backorders. Future availability of Alden handsewn shoes will be limited to a few select authorized retailers. Sherman Brothers will be one of them.
If you place an order today for a size that is not available, we will contact you within 24 hours and will not collect payment. Rather we will see if you would like to be put on a waitlist and to be notified when the shoes are available again in your size. The delay might be as short as a few weeks as we already have over 100 pairs in the works. The wait can potentially be longer, up to 6-9 months if your size is not already on order. We will communicate that information to you. The only way to secure a pair is to have us reserve a pair for you.

This unique hand-sewn shoe is made from the top grade of the finest aniline calfskin tanneries in the world and hand finished by a select group of Alden's finest craftsmen. The hand stitching is unique and striking, and the hand finished tanning brings out the rich colors of the leather. The inside is lined with soft leather, and it has a stable underlying shank to maximize support.
